By day I am a graphic designer working with companies to improve their branding, online presence and social media profile.
By night I am an aspiring children's author/illustrator out to make kids laugh until milk comes out of their noses.
I have been, or currently am: a computer game artist, actor/writer/director/producer for a family theater, user interface engineer, art director, writer of inspirational silliness, marathoner, father of one, husband of one, and raconteur.
Dummy Sketches
Finishing up the rough sketches for my book dummy. Here's a pair of "big thumbnails". I do very rough thumbnails to test layouts in a sketchbook. I then go into Adobe Illustrator and sketch it at full size using a brush with pencil & charcoal attributes. Then I place that spread in an InDesign document.
Just testing out a combination of illustration and production methods while getting the ideas down quickly. It's a new process for me and I'm working out the quirks but getting more comfortable as I go along.

Bus sketching...
Turns out sketching on a bus is not very productive. the ride got a little too bumpy for sketching, hence the zombie look of one of the figures.
These are possible character deigns for the picture book I'm working on.
